A friendship that transcends the Taiwan Strait for 40 years

🌊 A journey that united hearts across the sea

Tsai Fu-hsiung grew up near the Mazu temple in Beigang, on the island of Taiwan. Mazu, the Chinese goddess of the sea, has always been an important figure in his life. When Tsai discovered that Mazu originally came from Meizhou Island, in Fujian province, on the other side of the Taiwan Strait, he felt a strong desire to visit her ancestral temple. 🛐

In 1981, with adventurous spirit and devotion, Tsai embarked on a journey that would change his life. Upon arriving at Meizhou Island, he not only found the origin of his faith but also met someone who shared his devotion to Mazu. 🤝

This encounter marked the beginning of a friendship that has lasted over 40 years, bringing together families and cultures across the Taiwan Strait. 🌏❤️

Stories like Tsai's remind us of the power of faith and human connection, capable of transcending borders and generations. ✨
